COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Residents Tuesday knocked down a utility pole fire in Covina.

SKY9’s Kevin Takumi reports civilians could be seen using garden hoses to quickly contain the flames on the 5000 block of Arrow Way before the L.A. County Fire Department arrived to the scene.

Firefighters worked to complete containment Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of the fire was unclear at press time.
