Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 13)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The heat is here! High pressure continues to build into the west coast, and that, combined with an off-shore flow will bring very warm temperatures over the next couple of days.

With temperatures reaching into the triple digits Wednesday, many records will fall. The warm weather will reach beach communities where many residents don't have air conditioning.

The high pressure stays put for Thursday so expect more of the same. By Friday, the high starts to break down so there will be some cooling, but it will still be quite warm.

By the weekend, a trough moves into the west coast and there will be some relief. In fact the pendulum swings in the other direction and there will be temperatures running below average with partly cloudy skies.

Red Flag Warnings are in effect through Wednesday night.

Basin - upper 90s

Coast - mid 90s

Valleys - upper 90s

Mtns - low 60s

Deserts - mid 80s
