Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 10)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — We are gearing up for some very warm weather this work week.

An area of low pressure is diving into the four corner states (this is what is known as an inside slider).

It will help to kick up the winds ... we have advisories and warnings in place through early Sunday.

The off-shore flow that develops along with it will dry us out and help to increase the fire danger.

There is a red flag warning through Monday.

There is a very good chance that warning will be extended as high pressure builds into the area.

We will jump about 10 degrees for Mother's day ... then another 10 degrees for Monday.

We will keep into the mid to upper 90s for a good portion of the work week. There isn't any major relief until the end of next weekend.

Basin - low 80s;
Beaches - mid 70s;
Valleys - upper 80s;
Deserts - mid 70s;
Mountains - mid 50s.
