CHURCHILL, KY (CBSLA.com) – As California Chrome prepares for the second jewel of the triple-crown, winner of the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby California Chrome and his team took time to show the world who are they rooting for in the NHL Playoffs – the Anaheim, Ducks.

Team Chrome, trained by Art Sherman and owned by Perry Martin, are a based out of Los Alamitos Race Course in Cypress in Orange County –a few miles from the home of the Ducks in Anaheim.

The photo of California Chrome was taken at Churchill Downs wearing a large Ducks blanket along with his team and assistant trainer and son of Art, Alan Sherman.

Chrome was the first California-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby since 1962.

The 3-year-old and his team will travel to Baltimore early next week for the Preakness stakes on May 17.

The Ducks will face the Kings in game 4 Saturday in the Western Conference semifinals at Staples Center. Kings lead the series 2-1
