BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a motorcyclist was killed late Saturday evening after rear-ending a vehicle on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank.
The California Highway Patrol said in a department statement that the crash on the southbound lanes of the thoroughfare near the Western Avenue interchange was reported around 9:53 p.m., according to City News Service.
The CHP statement said the biker rear-ended a Nissan and was ejected. He was then reportedly struck by an unknown vehicle.
Authorities said one driver was arrest at the crash scene although no details were provided as to what charges that person faced.
