1 Killed, 1 Injured In Crash On 60 Freeway In South El Monte
EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say one person was killed and another was taken to the hospital following a crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in south El Monte.
The Saturday morning accident on the eastbound lanes of the thoroughfare at Rosemead Boulevard was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 5:09 a.m., according to City News Service.
When paramedics arrived on scene, they rushed at least one person to an area trauma center, according to a Los Angeles County Fire dispatcher.
The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Jose Manuel Estrada Jr. of Los Angeles.
The accident also prompted the issuance of a Sigalert.
