Man Killed In South LA Hit-And-Run
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A deadly hit-and-run was under investigation Wednesday in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
A pedestrian was killed just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of 120th Street and Athens Way, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the man was either crossing the street or standing in the middle of it when he was hit.
The incident was originally reported as a shots fired call, but when officers arrived on scene, they found the victim in the street with visible signs on his clothing that he had been run over.
Investigators plan to look at security video from a nearby hotel for leads on the driver.
