Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 9)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Keep the swimsuit handy because we are still experiencing that summer weather here in spring time.

While temperatures will drop a few degrees Wednesday, they will still remain well above average. Valley cities can expect temperatures into the 90s once again. Downtown will cool off about four degrees, topping out in the mid 80s. Beaches will hover in the 70s.

There will be continued cooling through the end of the week. By Friday and Saturday we will be back in normal territory, if not a little below average on Saturday.

There is a cut-off low that is approaching the area and it will bring us the threat of a mountain shower or thunderstorm. The wide majority of the viewing area should remain dry, but with enough lift in the atmosphere, mountain communities could have a brief downpour or t-storm. Then Sunday and Monday a ridge builds back in for some warmer weather.

basin - low to mid 80s
coast - mid 70s
valleys - low 90s
mtns - upper 60s
deserts - mid 80s
