VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — One person Tuesday was injured after a fire broke out in the attic of a house in Van Nuys.

The flames, which burned in the one story home in the 17400 block of Eldwood Street, were knocked down at 11:50 a.m. by 100 firefighters, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A person inside the home suffered unspecified injuries.

No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
