LASD Investigating Deputy-Involved Shooting In West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Officials Monday were investigating a fatal deputy-involved shooting in West Hollywood.

Detectives were called to the scene at approximately 9:31 p.m. Monday after shots were fired in the 900 block of Palm Avenue.

The original call was for a man with a knife in an apartment.

"As the deputies approached the apartment, they were confronted by two males exiting the residence. The men aggressed the deputies and a deputy-involved shooting occurred," Dept. Lillian Peck said.

One suspect was wounded.

The deputies then heard an argument from inside the unit and found two other men fighting. They were later detained.

All four suspects were transported to a local hospital, where an unidentified 24-year-old man was pronounced dead, officials said.

"The other three men sustained non-life threatening stab wounds and are in stable condition," Dep. Peck said.

The cause of the incident remained under investigation.
