Boy, 5, Asks For 100 Birthday Cards After Recent Move To Travis Air Force Base

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A little boy who recently moved to Travis Air Force base in Northern California has just one wish for his upcoming birthday: to make 100 new friends.

Devin Montoya says it's been "kinda tough" making friends since his family's move.

Montoya's mom, Jessica Robinson, recently asked him what he wants for his sixth birthday.

"I said, 'Devin, have you thought about it?' and he said, 'Yes, Ma'am, I want 100 birthday cards.' And I said, 'One hundred? I don't know how I'm going to get that done.' And I said, 'Can I get you 100?' and he said, 'No, let's get them from different people.'"

Montoya says he's asking for the cards because he wants 100 new friends – someone to swing with, someone who can do monkey bars, maybe even someone to color with.

If you'd like to give Montoya a birthday card by April 13, send it to:
