Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (March 30)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We did get a little rain early this morning ... and some of it is still lingering in some mountain locations.

However, for the most part, it has been a beautiful day for a majority of the area.

While temps were down a bit from yesterday, we are looking at highs today hovering near average. Look for partly cloudy skies as you head back to work. Highs will be a bit cooler as the on-shore flow strengthens ahead of our next system.

There is a cold front moving through late Monday into early Tuesday. We aren't looking at a whole lot of rain with the first wave of energy. Maybe .10" of .25" with snow levels staying above 5000'.

There is another wave moving through late Tuesday into Wednesday. Again, there isn't a whole lot of rain ... maybe another .10" to .25" with some higher totals in the foothills.

The second system is more dynamic so we're looking at the possibility of thunderstorms. Keep in mind where there is a thunderstorm ... there is the potential for a heavy downpour. That would affect the burn areas. Snow levels will drop a bit ... but not a lot of accumulation at the lower levels.

Basin - mid to upper 60s;
Beaches - mid 60s;
Valleys - upper 60s;
Deserts - mid 60s;
Mountains - mid 40s.
