Caught On Tape: Brea Mall Smash-And-Grab Robbery
BREA (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday released surveillance footage of a smash-and-grab robbery at an Orange County jewelry store.
The robbery happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday at a Ben Bridges store in the Brea Mall.
The two suspects, wearing hoodies and gloves, surveyed the store's cases before one of them took a hammer and shattered the glass.
The men stole several Rolex watches before fleeing from the mall, heading toward the Brea Police Department building.
Officers began chasing the suspects and one was arrested.
Most of the stolen watches were recovered in a bag in bushes near the police department, officials said.
