SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — At least two people were critically injured in a head-on collision in Sherman Oaks, authorities said Friday.

The crash happened on Beverly Glen Boulevard just north of Mulholland Drive about 2:15 p.m.

Aerial footage of the crash showed a mangled white pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle.

Sky9’s Stu Mundel reports that two patients were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Beverly Glen was shut in both directions while authorities investigated. Traffic was being diverted off Beverly Glen, according to Mundel.

No further information was available.
