LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – Don Mattingly said Thursday that either Hyun-Jin Ryu or Dan Haren will replace Clayton Kershaw as the starter against the San Diego Padres, Sunday

The Dodgers announced, Wednesday, Kershaw will miss the North American opener due to an injured back.

Ryu, who has an injured toe, will get the start if he successfully goes through a bullpen session on Friday.

If Ryu doesn’t feel ready, first-time Dodger Dan Haren will get the start.
