Torrance Police Looking For Alleged 'Restroom Creeper'

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Torrance Police are looking for a suspect they are calling a "restroom creeper," after he allegedly followed a woman into a restroom at a pharmacy.

The incident took place in the 3800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. Monday.

A woman told police that roughly 15 seconds after she entered a restroom at a Rite Aid store, a man entered the bathroom.

The victim told police she was startled him get on all fours and try to look under the stall in which she was seated.

She said she made eye contact with the suspect before getting up and running out.

Before entering the bathroom, the victim said she saw the suspect standing nearby and said hello as she passed him.

Police said the man ran out of the store and into a gray/silver newer model Honda or Toyota. He then drove eastbound through the parking lot toward Hawthorne.

The suspect is described as a black male adult, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. The man has black, short hair, and a double chin. When last seen, he was wearing a black sweater and jacket, a gray T-shirt, black pants and black tennis shoes.
