STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A new book is encouraging readers to be lean for life.
Cynthia Stamper-Graff, author of “The New Lean for Life: Outsmart Your Body to Shrink Fat Cells and Lose Weight for Good,” and Shelby Barone, mom & team leader of OC Moms Lean for Life, visited the KCAL9 studios Wednesday.
Their newly revised weight loss book includes four phases to keep weight off.

Lean for Life FEEL-GOOD POT ROAST (Slow-Cooker Recipe)
2 Pounds boneless chuck pot roast
8-10 oz fresh sliced mushrooms
1 envelope (1 oz) French onion soup mix
1/4 cup good balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup water
guar or xanthan
Place sliced mushrooms in the bottom of a slow-cooker.
Place beef on top of mushrooms.
In a bowl, mix vinegar and water and onion soup mix. Pour into cooker.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Remove meat carefully-it’s very tender!
