Man, 62, Arrested For Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Victim, 7

CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — A 62-year-old man was arrested Thursday following allegations that he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old in Camarillo in Nov. 2013.

Luis Gonzalez was taken into custody at his home in Atwater Village and was booked at the East County Jail sometime Thursday morning.

Gonzalez, who worked as a welfare eligibility case worker for the Los Angeles County for the past 9 years, has been accused of sexually assaulting two additional victims since 1998, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept.

"His position involves dealing with families in difficult circumstances and gives him access to children," Sgt. Eric Buschow said in a statement.

Gonzalez was being held on $1.1 million bail.

Investigators believe there may be additional possible victims and ask anyone with information to call (805)383-8791.
