ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Disneyland Monday will reopen the Big Thunder Mountain roller coaster after a $4 million makeover.

The attraction has been closed for more than a year for renovations, which include a new track, lighting and sound system, and an explosion scene at the end of the ride.

The ride first opened 34 years ago.
