2 Adult Brothers Plead Guilty To Molesting Young Girls, Bribing With Candy

SANTA ANA (AP/CBSLA.com) — Two Orange County brothers have pleaded guilty to repeatedly molesting 3- and 7-year-old neighbor girls who were bribed to keep quiet with candy and ice cream.

Prosecutors say 38-year-old Cristobal Ortiz Rodriguez and 36-year-old Eduardo Ortiz Rodriguez pleaded guilty Monday to about 15 sex abuse counts apiece, including lewd and lascivious acts on a child.

The brothers are expected to be sentenced to 50 years apiece in prison when they're sentenced in May and must register for life as sex offenders.

Investigators say the girls were molested in a converted Fullerton garage where the brothers lived.

"Between May 2010 and August 2011, the defendants are accused of molesting the two little girls while the defendants were together, one after the other, and on their own at separate times," according to a statement released by the O.C. District Attorney's Office. "The sexual conduct included touching, masturbation, digital penetration, oral copulation, and showing pornographic images to the victims."

One of the girls told a family member about the assaults and the brothers were arrested in 2011.
