Police Hunt For Bank Robbery Suspect In Ladera Ranch

ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Police are on the hunt for a bank robber who struck in Orange County Tuesday evening.

KCAL9'S Stacey Butler reports investigators were searching the area surrounding Crown Valley Parkway with blood hounds after after a Ladera Ranch Union Bank was robbed just before closing for business at 6 p.m.

Detectives say a man in his early 40s with a dark complexion and thin build walked in without a weapon and demanded cash.

Authorities have released surveillance footage of the incident, showing the suspect wearing a baseball cap and a white hoodie.

Investigators say the suspect ran out with an undisclosed amount of cash towards a residential neighborhood and threw items of clothing on the ground.

Detectives say they do not believe the suspect has struck before.
