ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — The Alhambra Police Department lobby was closed for a short time Tuesday after a person brought something inside the building that contained a white, powdery substance.

The incident was reported around 2 p.m. at 211 S. First Street.

“Because the white stuff is of unknown substance, the police department lobby is awaiting the arrival of a hazardous materials team to clean it up,” Alhambra police said in a statement on Facebook.

Crews later determined the unknown substance was not dangerous.

No other information was made available.
