Amber Lee's Weather Forecast (March 1)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Get ready for more wet weather as this low pressure system spins in more rain and showers.

Today's rain amounts probably won't be quite as high as yesterday's but it's still a measurable amount. One to two inches for the Metro area and two to four inches for the foothills.

Today, the foothills and the mountains will experience steady rain, while, elsewhere there will be on-and-off showers throughout the day.

Snow levels drop to 6000 foot with a chance for another foot of new snow. From 7000 ft and above, we can see 1'-3' of new snow.

Early this morning, we had a tornado warning that only lasted about half an hour just before 3:30 a.m. The radar picked up some rotations but the cell ended up turning into a severe t-storms, squeezing out an inch of hail near the city of Walnut. This did not turn into a tornado.

Showers and rain are expected to taper off late tonight with lingering showers for Sunday morning. Late afternoon, this storm will exit out of the state and we'll see drier air.

Dry and warmer conditions starting off the work week with evener warmer conditions by mid-week.

LA Basin: Showers and possible t-storms. temps running in the low 60s;
Beaches: heavy rain at time. temps running in the low 60s;
Valley: Showers and possible t-storms. temps running in the low 60.
