Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — So this first wave moved in just as we forecasted. Rainfall totals in Santa Barbara were close to 1 inch, and when all is said and done here in Los Angeles, totals will be close to .50 inches.

Don't be fooled when the sun comes out for a bit Thursday, storm 2 is still on track.  This second storm will have quite a punch, especially Friday morning.

The potential for the most severe weather will be in the morning hours. That's when there will be the best upper level support for thunderstorms and waterspouts.

The rain will start overnight and run through the day Friday with scattered showers into Saturday.

As the low passes on Saturday, it actually looks like there is a pretty good slug of moisture that will move through in the middle of the day.  Sunday will dry out with a ridge building in.
