Family Plans 6-Month Vigil For Missing Bryce Laspisa In 3 Locations

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The family of a 19-year-old college student last seen in August of last year, plans to hold a vigil Friday -- the six month anniversary of his disappearance -- in three places that meant something to him.

Vigils for Bryce Laspisa will be held in two California cities -- Valencia and Rocklin -- as well as  Naperville, Illinois.

The family said it was only possible to endure his loss with the support of family and friends and they want the vigils to remind the public to be on the lookout for Laspisa.

The 19-year-0ld has been missing since his car was found crashed on the Castaic Lake boat ramp access road on August 30th. All of his belongings, including his wallet, cell phone, and laptop, were found at the crash site.

None of the many searches, or possible sightings, have turned up any leads.

Laspisa was not wanted by law enforcement and gave no indication anything was out of the ordinary.

His parents -- Mike and Karen -- remain hopeful that Laspisa will be found or that he will contact them.

Laspisa is white, has red/orange hair and blue eyes. He's 5 feet, 10 and one-half inches tall and about 160 pounds. He has a large tattoo on his left arm and shoulder (a Taurus bullhead with the Roman numerals for his birthday), both ears are pierced. He was last seen in white cargo shorts and a blue and white checkered shirt.

The family set up a tip line (949) 292-4400. They also set up a Facebook page FINDBRYCELASPISA. Mail can also be sent to: findbrycelaspisa@gmail.com.

Family members plan to be at both the Valencia and Naperville vigils if you wish to show support and join them in prayer.

Vigil Locations/times:

Real Life Church, Room 101 Newhall Ranch Road - Valencia at 3 p.m. PST

Naperville Women's Club - 14 South Washington St. - Naperville, Illinois  at 8 p.m. CST

Sierra College (near quad under canopy) - Rocklin, CA at 5 p.m. PST
