JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 74-year-old man with dementia who Saturday wandered away from his assisted living home.

Geronimo Sanchez was last seen at the care facility in the 5300 block of 36th Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

A search of the area proved unsuccessful.

Sanchez is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen in a red-hooded sweatshirt and tan pants.

Anyone with more information about Sanchez’s whereabouts was asked to call investigators at (951) 955-2600.
