LONDON (CBSLA.com) — A precursor to the Oscars?

“12 Years A Slave” won big Sunday at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards in London.

The acclaimed movie about a free man who was made a slave, won the awards for best film and leading man Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Cate Blanchett won the award for leading actress for her work in “Blue Jasmine.”
