BALDWIN PARK (CBSLA.com) — A Mega Millions ticket worth more than $500,000 was sold in Baldwin Park.
The ticket is actually worth $505,010 to be exact.
The winning ticket was sold at Stop and Save (12946 N. Bess Avenue, 91706) and matched five of the numbers in Friday’s draw. The ticket failed to match the Mega number. Had the ticket holder picked the Mega number, he or she would have won $139 million.
The winning numbers drawn were 20, 28, 35, 71 and 72. The Mega number was 7.
The jackpot for next Tuesday’s drawn now climbs to $154 million.
The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Draws for the $1 game are Tuesdays and Fridays. The Mega Millions jackpot starts at $12 million and climbs every time there is no winner.
The record jackpot went to $656 million in March 2012.
