AGOURA HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A stolen vehicle pursuit came to an end in the west San Fernando Valley early Friday after the suspect’s SUV ran out of gas.

The high-speed chase began on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino when the suspect’s black 2000 Suburban came up as stolen, the California Highway Patrol said.

The driver evaded authorities and continued into Los Angeles County, with speeds reaching around 100 mph.

The suspect’s vehicle ran out of gas just after 4:35 a.m. near the Reyes Adobe exit on the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills.

The suspect then surrendered to the CHP.

No injuries were reported and the suspect was the sole occupant of the SUV.
