Man, 19, Accused Of Stalking Female Joggers In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Police in Corona have announced the arrest of a 19-year-old they said stalked and harassed at least one female jogger.

Officials said on Tuesday, at about 9:30 a.m., a woman was jogging in the area of Pinewood Lane and Lemon Grove Drive when the suspect began to chase her.

The woman was able to flag down a motorist for help. The victim allegedly saw the man get into a gray Ford sedan. She was able to memorize the license plate and later relayed the information to authorities.

The victim said it was the third time -- in a month and a half period -- that the suspect had chased her.

Officials identified the suspect as Anthony Cummings Jr. of Corona.

Police said the woman has positively identified Cummings as the man who has chased her.

Cummings Jr. reportedly told police he drives around the area to "meet" females while they jog. He was charged with stalking and booked at Robert Presley Detention Center.
