PACOIMA ( — A pair of suspicious duffel bags prompted the lockdown of a San Fernando Valley middle school Thursday morning.

The bags were found around 8:20 a.m. outside the front gate of Pacoima Middle School, 9919 Laurel Canyon Blvd., the Los Angeles Unified School District said.
