Man Caught On Camera Smashing Windows Of LAPD Car ID'd
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A man who was caught on camera smashing up the windows of a LAPD car and stealing a computer in Hollywood has been identified.
Leyston Rice, 27, was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and burglary from a motor vehicle, according to Officer Wendy Reyes. The suspect is reportedly being held on $20,000 bail.
Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rice allegedly used a piece of metal pipe to break the patrol vehicle's windows at the Hollywood & Highland complex along Hollywood Boulevard. He then pulled out a laptop from the front seat and walked away.
Tourists rolled their cameras as the scene unfolded.
Rice was immediately apprehended.
