Punk Rocker, Pro Skateboarder Duane Peters Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Professional skateboarder and punk rocker Duane Peters was charged Tuesday with assaulting his girlfriend in Long Beach.

The 52-year-old nicknamed "The Master of Disaster" is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on one felony count of willful infliction of corporal injury, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Peters was taken into custody shortly before midnight Friday in the 4000 block of Third Street.

Neighbors reportedly had to restrain Peters until police arrived on the scene.

The victim suffered some injuries to her body, the district attorney's office said.

Peters is jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail. If convicted, he could face up to four years in prison.

Peters is known for his skateboard tricks, as well as being the lead singer of the band U.S. Bombs. In 2000, he formed the band Duane Peters and the Hunns, which later changed to Die Hunns.
