NORWALK (CBSLA.com) — A 27-year-old jogger was killed Monday morning when she was hit by a pick-up truck.

The female victim was running with a man around 5:45 a.m. on Imperial Highway, near Studebaker Road, in Norwalk when she was hit by the vehicle as she crossed the street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The woman was not in an intersection when she was hit and officials said she was likely hard to see.

“She was wearing a dark hoodie,” Sgt. Brian Doyle said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and was questioned by authorities.
