Winners Of LAUSD's 'Cooking Up Change' Share Their Winning Recipes

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — The winners of the LAUSD District competition "Cooking up Change", Jennifer Mendez and Kimberly Sanchez, and David Binkle, LAUSD Director of Food Services, stopped by KCAL9 Monday to share the winning recipes.

"Cooking up Change" is a national healthy cooking competition launched by Healthy Schools Campaign. Mendez and Sanchez, from Manual Arts High School, won the district competition and will now go on an all-expense paid trip to the national competition in Washington, DC.

Their winning dishes will also be served at all LAUSD cafeterias during the 2014-2015 school year.
