NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday were investigating a possible attempted kidnapping reported at a San Fernando Valley elementary school.

A 10-year-old female student at Coldwater Canyon Elementary School reported the incident Wednesday night around 6 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.

She told authorities that we she walking towards a restroom when a man approached her and put his hand over her mouth.

The girl said she bit the suspect’s hand and he ran off.

Police were questioning the child to get more information on his identity.
