LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith was kicked off a Virgin America plane at LAX Friday afternoon after a verbal run-in with a flight attendant.

The New York Daily News reported that the dispute was sparked by Smith’s refusal to stop talking on his cell phone.

According to witness, the former West Virginia star had a profanity-filled conversation with a ticketing agent before he boarded his flight.

Smith was the Jets’ first round draft pick and beat former USC star Mark Sanchez to start at quarterback.
