Clippers Set To Sign Hedo Turkoglu, Could Play Friday Against Knicks

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - The Los Angeles Clippers are set to sign Hedo Turkoglu pending a physical, said head coach Doc Rivers on Wednesday.

"I usually don't say stuff," Rivers said to the LA Times, "but I think everyone pretty much knows. But it's not done."

Assuming the long-range shooter Turkoglu passes his physical, he will likely join the Clippers at the start of their Grammys trip on Friday against the New York Knicks.

Turkoglu was released by the Orlando Magic on Jan 7, 2013 and served a 20-game suspension in 2013 for taking methenolone, an anabolic steroid that is banned under the league's anti-drug program.
