Armed Robber Wanted For Stripping AT&T Store, Customers Of Smartphones, iPads In Highland

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked for the public's help Friday in identifying a man who robbed an AT&T store at gunpoint.

The robbery happened at about 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 30 when a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun and ordered all the customers and employees into a rear office, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said.

The robber took all of the personal cell phones of the customers and employees, and ordered two staff members to put all the smartphones, iPads and tablets into two large bags, then emptied the cash registers, officials said. He fled the store with the money and the bags, but its not known if he was on foot or in a car.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 30s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, with black hair, brown eyes and patchy facial hair with some gray. The suspect was last seen wearing a black, puffy jacket with a hood and black sweat pants with cargo-style pockets.
