1 Bank Robbery Suspect Dead, 1 Critical Following Pursuit
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said one bank robbery suspect was killed and another one injured following a pursuit in Anaheim Friday.
The robbery occurred about 1:45 p.m. at a Bank of the West branch at 4501 E. La Palma Ave., Anaheim police Lt. Tim Schmidt said.
Anaheim police chased the suspects for about 10 minutes until they crashed their vehicle at 3460 E. La Palma Ave., Schmidt said.
The suspected getaway driver was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, Schmidt said. The passenger was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange in critical condition, Schmidt said.
