Chargers RB Ryan Mathews, Center Nick Hardwick Miss Practice Again

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Chargers running back Ryan Mathews and center Nick Hardwick have missed their second straight practice, leaving many questions if both will be able to play against the Denver Broncos in the divisional playoff round.

At practice, Mathews continues to wear the protective boot on his ankle that he injured against the Raiders on week 16.

Mathews played through the ankle injury against Kansas City and Cincinnati, but this week has been the longest he's gone without practicing.

As for Nick Hardwick, he has yet to pass NFL's concussion protocol.  Hardwick was diagnosed with a concussion after the game against the Bengals.

Head coach Mike McCoy didn't say if they would or wouldn't play on Sunday.
