Teen Community Police Advisory Board Breaks Barrier Between Teens, Police

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Paul Evleth, Police Officer II from Southwest Community Police Station and Luis Duarte and Omar Prudencio from the LAPD Southwest Area Teen Community Police Advisory Board stopped by KCAL9 Monday to tell viewers about the teen-led department.

The Teen CPAB, which was created five years ago, works with teens to problem solve and break the barrier between police and teenagers.

It was established as a forum for local youth to advise and discuss public safety issues with community police officers.
