Expert: The Family That Meets Together, Stays Together
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Family meetings can help members work together and may lead to a happier household, according to a parenting reporter.
Donna Tetreault, who runs SuperMommyNot.com, visited KCAL9 News to discuss how family meetings can help improve communication and resolve conflict within the household.
She says meetings help family members solve problems, come up with new ideas, work together and take accountability.
According to Dr. Jane Nelson, author of "Our Family Meeting Album," "If parents really understood the value of family meetings, it would be their most valuable parenting tool."
The meeting agenda should include compliments, evaluating previous solutions, discussing current issues, meal planning and the family calendar.
