Suspect In Oxnard Fatal Stabbing Turns Himself In

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Officials say a murder suspect in Oxnard has turned himself in.

Oscar Valles, 43, reportedly called police on Saturday just after 12:30 p.m. to say he wanted to surrender.

Valles later arrived at the police department and was interviewed by investigators.

He told police he knew they were looking for him as a suspect in a fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old Oxnard resident in the 2000 block of North Oxnard Boulevard.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Ventura County Jail on murder charges.

The victim's name is being withheld until notification of his next of kin.
