Man Allegedly Murders His Mother, Attacks Sister At Redlands Home

REDLANDS (CBSLA.com) — Police say they've arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of killing his mother and attacking his sister at their home in Redlands.

Officers were called shortly after 5:30 a.m. to the 400 block of Doyle Street where they found a 46-year-old woman dead, according to Carl Baker of the Redlands Police Department.

A neighbor told an independent news team he heard a woman screaming in the early morning hours.

The victim's 21-year-old daughter was injured. She was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery. Her condition is unknown.

Officers arrested the victim's son, Pablo Hernandez Jr., outside the home.

He faces murder and attempted murder charges.
