PACIFIC PALISADES (CBSLA.com) — Police say a man in his 20s was critically injured in an apparent hit-and-run accident in Pacific Palisades.

The man was found in the bushes on the side of the road at 920 Chautauqua Blvd., just west of Sunset Boulevard, at about 3:20 a.m., Los Angeles police Officer J. Barrientos said.

“He was in critical condition when he was found,” Barrientos said. “We don’t have any information on what happened but we are investigating it as an apparent felony hit-and-run accident.”

The unidentified man was taken to a hospital and went into surgery at about 6:30 a.m., he said.

“We haven’t been able to talk to him yet and we don’t yet know if he is going to make it,” Barrientos said.
