7-Month-Old On Life Support After Sustaining ‘Suspicious Injuries’

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Moreno Valley say a 7-month-old baby is currently on life support after sustaining “suspicious injuries.”

A statement issued by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department says the baby, whose name has been withheld, arrived at Riverside County Regional Medical Center on Monday afternoon with difficulty breathing.

“After several medical procedures, it was determined the victim had suspicious injuries and was put on life support,” the statement said.

Thereafter, Moreno Valley police responded to a hospital regarding a report of possible child abuse.

An investigation is underway.
