FBI Offers Reward For Father Of 2 Accused In Wife's Murder

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The FBI on Friday announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man accused in the Nov. 30, murder of his wife in San Bernardino.

Edly Albert Atherley II was charged with murder earlier this month but has allegedly fled, possibly outside the state's jurisdiction.

Authorities say the 29-year-old Atherley has two children with the victim.

According to the FBI, Atherley was last seen about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, near his apartment allegedly with a large, gash-type wound on the web of his right-hand and a cut to his right forearm.

The FBI says Atherley may still be in San Bernardino although he also has ties outside of California, including in Florida and Belize.

Atherley is five-feet, nine-inches tall and weighs between 160 to 170 pounds. He is African-American and has a tattoo on his right shoulder.

The FBI says Atherley has a criminal history.

Anyone who knows of Atherley's whereabouts is urged to use extreme caution and contact their local FBI office or dial 911. The FBI also cautioned residents not to take independent action should they come into contact with him.
