Fraternity Holiday Fundraiser Ends In Fist Fight At Westchester Hotel
WESTCHESTER (CBSLA.com) — A brawl at a fraternity Christmas party held at an airport hotel was under investigation Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The fight broke out around 12:45 a.m. in the second-floor ballroom of the Radisson hotel, located in the 6200 block of West Century Boulevard, in Westchester, officials said.
The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity from CSU Long Beach was holding their 16th Annual Kappa Khristmas Jam & Toy Drive when a fight erupted between approximately 25 people.
The suspects were throwing chairs and tables, according to reports.
"I saw a fight and this guy got sucker punched and got knocked out completely," one female witness said.
It was unclear what prompted the fight.
The party, which included more than 1,000 guests, was dispersed by 1:30 a.m.
There were no arrests or reports of injuries, police said.
