$75K Reward Expected In Fatal Shooting Of Reality TV Director

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police announced Monday that there will likely be a $75,000 reward for information leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the murder of a reality TV director.

The motion still has to be approved by the LA City Council Tuesday.

City councilman Jose Huizar and the Los Angeles Police Department held a news conference at 2 p.m. to discuss the reward for the suspects who shot James Marcus Howe and his wife. They couple were shot around 10:50 a.m. on Nov. 27 at their Eagle Rock home on Sagamore Way near Avenue 42, the LAPD said.

Howe was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.  The couple's 6-year-old son, who was unharmed, was also home at the time of the attack.

Howe had worked on several reality television shows as an assistant director including "America's Next Top Model", "Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker" and "Diamond Divers".

Detectives said they have exhausted all known leads and are seeking the public's help in their search for three suspects. Suspect one was described as a black man between the ages of 16 and 22. Suspect two was described as a black man between the ages of 20 and 25, and suspect three, the driver, was described as a black female.

The suspect vehicle was a dark color 2000 Ford Mustang, according to authorities.

It was unclear what prompted the incident.
